We are delighted to be awarded just short of £18,000 grant funding from Cynnal y Cardi (Ceredigion County Council), as part of the EAFRD, LEADER funds.
We applied for a range of items and funding to enable us to continue our Support Local campaign which was well-received over the Christmas period. This funding will enable us to:
- Commission two videos for the Aberystwyth Business Club to use. The first video to promote Aberystwyth in general, and the second to promote the independent stores and range of the stores in Aberystwyth. With both videos we have also ensured full ownership, and a range of clips that can be used by members on their social media. This will give us two great videos to use to promote the town, and also help us reach more businesses.
- Organise a Business Conference with Menter Aberystwyth – the funding covers the venue and refreshments, as well as keynote speaker. We hope that by working with Menter Aberystwyth, we will be able to collaborate on future events for the town.
- Marketing material for the Support Local campaign – the funding application included a large concentration on the successful Support Local campaign which ran in November and December 2022. The funding includes design time for new Support Local posters (seasonal), as well as a range of marketing material such as banners, window stickers and pavement bollards, all falling within the Support Local campaign.
The application process was lengthy, and we’d like to thank Kerry Ferguson and Becky Barratt for putting the application together. A special thanks also to Cynnal y Cardi for their support with the application, and for enabling a brilliant start to the year for Aberystwyth Business Club.
Funds have to be spent by the end of May 2023 – so look out for a big splash, and of course the Business Conference!
