The Aberystwyth Business Club is a community of local businesses dedicated to promoting economic growth and development in the area. We work together to provide networking opportunities, business support, and a platform for collaboration and innovation.
The Business Club itself has a long history, more recently however it has seen a new lease of life, and new goals for its future.
More than anything, we are a strong voice for our business community in Aberystwyth. Get involved!

Supporting, sharing our knowledge with one another. The world of business can be lonely, but as a group, we want you to know there’s always support.
Campaigns
Working together to create campaigns, such as our ‘Support Local’ campaign, and ‘Keep the Magic in Aber’ this Christmas which ran in 2022.
Funding Applications
Being more aware and sharing news of funding opportunities for small businesses, as well as applying as a Club for funding to benefit the town when relevant.
Key Stakeholders
Opening conversations and collaboration with key stakeholders in Aberystwyth, including Menter Aberystwyth, the Town Council and Ceredigion County Council.
Promotion
Constantly looking to promote the range of independent businesses in and around the Aberystwyth area.
Lobbying
Being a strong voice on behalf of the businesses in the area to lobby the Welsh Government on important issues, such as business rates.

We meet every 2-3 weeks, to discuss issues, ideas, campaigns and events. Our meetings are sometimes in the pub, which often goes down well – it’s a chance to natter (or network) with your fellow business owners after all.
We don’t expect everyone to make the meetings – the times won’t suit you all, and sometimes meetings just aren’t your thing. All we ask is, join our mailing list and be kept up to date with what is going on in the town.
We send a mail out every 2-3 weeks, or when there is important information e.g. new grant funding available. We aim to make sure our mail outs are informative, and helpful.
